Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 22 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Lantery, a feed reading service operated by Individual Entrepreneur Andrei Taranenko, registered in Georgia ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What the service is

Lantery is software. It fetches the web feeds you subscribe to, stores the articles they publish, keeps track of what you have read across your devices, and shows them to you in a reader.

Everything the service does is performed by software. We do not read, curate, select, summarise, or edit content on your behalf, and no part of the service is delivered by human labour.

2. Your account

You need an email address to use Lantery. You are responsible for keeping access to that address secure, since it is how you sign in.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

3. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

The free tier is free and requires no payment details.

Paid subscriptions are offered monthly and annually at the prices shown on lantery.app. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; paid features keep working until then, and no further charges are made. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Paddle handles the transaction, issues the invoice, and is responsible for the applicable sales taxes. Your contract for the purchase is with Paddle; this agreement governs your use of the service itself.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which provides an unconditional 30-day money-back guarantee.

5. Your content and your data

The feeds you subscribe to, the folders you make, the articles you save, and your read state are yours.

We store article content published by the feeds you subscribe to in order to show it to you. That content belongs to whoever published it.

You can export everything at any time, on any tier, including the free tier and after a subscription ends, at no cost. Export includes your subscriptions, folders, saved articles, and read state, in OPML and JSON.

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your account, your subscriptions, and your reading history from our systems.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Lantery to break the law, to attack the service or the sites it fetches from, to resell access, or to subscribe to feeds at a volume intended to degrade the service for other people.

We poll the feeds you subscribe to on your behalf, identifying ourselves honestly and respecting the caching and rate limits publishers set.

7. Your sources are your choice

You decide what to subscribe to. Lantery does not select, curate, recommend, or rank sources for you — it fetches what you asked for, in the order it was published. We do not review the content of the feeds you add, and we take no position on it.

You are responsible for complying with the law where you are. Whether a particular source is lawful to read in your country, and what the consequences of reading it might be, is something only you can assess. Lantery is a reading tool, not a shield: see the "What we can be compelled to disclose" section of our Privacy Policy for a plain statement of what we hold about you and who could require us to hand it over. Read it before you rely on this service in any situation where that matters.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running and to fix problems quickly, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The service is operated by one person and maintenance, outages, and dependency failures happen.

Feeds break, move, and disappear for reasons outside our control. We surface those failures rather than hiding them, but we cannot guarantee that any particular feed will keep working.

9. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 6, or where we are required to by law. Where we do, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data first, unless the law prevents it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For changes that materially affect your rights, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia, and the courts of Georgia have jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
